Myofascial Release (MFR)

Hands-on Technique that Provides Sustained Pressure into Myofascial Restrictions

Fascia is a specialized type of tissue that forms a single connective sheath which runs throughout the whole body. It plays an important role in the structural support of our bodies as it surrounds muscles and organs, attaches to bone and underlies skin. Restrictions and contractions in fascia affect posture, muscle length and impede range of motion.

Myofascial release (MFR) is a very effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Myofascial Release Training

MFR is a specialized post-graduate course that is performed by a Registered Massage Therapist, Osteopath Manual Practitioner or Physiotherapist. MFR can be incorporated into your ongoing treatment plan by any or all of these practitioners.
