We had decided to close The Neighbourhood Clinic for 2 weeks on March 18th in an attempt to promote social distancing and help stop the spread of the coronavirus virus.

As a result of the most recent government mandate, the earliest date on which we are permitted to re-open is Wednesday, April 8th.  From the information that we have today, this date is subject to change (potentially more than once) and does not seem to be a realistic time for us to re-open. With that in mind:

We have decided to close the clinic until further notice thus cancelling all existing appointments.

Once an official date to re-open is confirmed we will be calling you to reschedule your appointment.

We are continuing to respond to voicemail and email regularly. Please contact us if there is anything we can do to help you until we see you again at the clinic.

We are offering Telehealth Options for those who have reached out to us and may require some level of assistance before we officially open the The Neighbourhood Clinic. If you are interested in our Telehealth Options, please email or call to set up a date and time with your practitioner.

Touching Base:                         10 minute chat No charge
Physiotherapy:                         30 minute consultation  $40
Osteopathy:                             30 minute consultation  $40
Naturopathy:                           30 minute consultation  $90, 60 minute consultation  $125

In case you are not aware, naturopathic appointments have always been available via phone or online, excluding the initial physical exam. With the current climate in mind, some or all of the payments collected for telehealth services at the clinic will be donated to assist in the efforts to fight COVID-19.

We have been responding to patient’s questions and posting some answers on our Facebook and Instagram pages and will post them to our blog. Hopefully, you may find this information helpful during your home isolation.

Some of the most recent topics being:

Managing your anxiety
Running mistakes to avoid
Reducing stiffness and muscle tension - full body stretches
Preventing aches and pains from text neck - neck stretches
Ergonomic work stations

We miss you and hope to get back to normal routines as soon as possible.

TNC Covid 19

The clinic is currently closed to all patients.
 (effective March 18th, 2020).

As a result of the most recent government mandate, the earliest date on which we will begin to treat patients again is Wednesday April 8th. This date is subject to change as we will be abiding by the guidelines and regulations as outlined by the Canadian government, the Ontario government as well as our regulatory colleges.

To all patients that are currently booked for treatment before April 8th, 2020, we will be contacting you by phone to reschedule your appointments.

Once our clinic re-opens, we will be contacting patients to do a pre-screening before their arrival at the clinic. We will also implement additional measures to limit contact between patients.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to let us know. We can arrange a time to discuss your recovery.

We are continuing to respond to voicemail and email. Please contact us if there is anything we can do to help you until we see you again at the clinic. As health practitioners we spend our days connecting with the most interesting and amazing people. We miss you all and can't wait to see you again!

Stay Safe! Stay Home!

We have made the decision to close the clinic at this time to help change the trajectory of the pandemic. As a clinic that serves the community, we believe that we have an ethical responsibility to protect the community by promoting social distancing at this time. We understand that some people may feel these measures are too extreme but the potential cost of not following these measures may be too great. We hope, like everyone else, that the actions we take now will make a difference in the near future and that life will return back to normal as soon as possible.

Thank you for making the right decisions with us.
The Neighbourhod Clinic Team

TNC Covid 19

In this period of uncertainty, we would like to address the current public health situation surrounding COVID-19 as it relates to the operation of The Neighbourhood Clinic.

As anyone would expect, we already have a strict cleaning regiment in place, however, we are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of both our patients and practitioners.

We are taking EXTRA MEASURES to disinfect all surfaces (treatment tables, headrests, armrests, door knobs, etc.) and all equipment (laser system, ultrasound, POS payment machine, etc.).  We have an ample supply of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and gloves in every treatment room, bathroom and the reception area. As always, linens are washed after every use.

But as you know, and as advised by the CDC and WHO, your best course of defence is THOROUGH HAND WASHING.

IN ADDITION TO APPLYING HAND SANITIZER, you may also want to wash your hands thoroughly upon arrival to the clinic and before you leave the clinic. We have lots of soap and paper towels! (and toilet paper……)

The only hope to slow down the virus is based on community behaviour. Only by working collectively we can hope to change the trajectory of this pandemic. If you are sick, have traveled to a foreign destination in the past 14 days or have been in contact with anyone with the virus, please stay home. We will waive all cancellation fees if this is the case.

We know there are a lot of our patients that may still require our services. We remain committed to helping the community and will remain open at this time, but will follow all guidelines and recommendations set forth by the ministry of health for any future coarse of action.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
