Rodrigo Almeida

Rodrigo Almeida

M. OST., B.A. Phys. Ed.

Hi, I am Rodrigo, I qualified as an Osteopath from the University College of Osteopathy in the UK.

Having suffered injuries myself, I know how frustrating and, at times, how debilitating pain is, especially when it impacts day-to-day activities and quality of life. I treat every patient as an individual, taking the time to understand not only your concerns and problems, the limitations you are facing, but – most importantly – your goals, both in treating your injury and getting you back to what you love doing.

I draw on a variety of holistic treatment options – such as osteopathic techniques, rehabilitative exercises, shockwave therapy, massage and taping – to develop personalised treatment plans that restore health, healing and function.

The human body has always fascinated me.  Before completing my Osteopathy degree, I originally trained in Physical Education over twenty years ago. Since then, my practice has evolved to include rehabilitation, clinical Pilates, sports massage, and strength and conditioning training, with a running theme throughout my career to help people achieve their full potential and their goals. I have a particular passion for teaching, guiding and supporting my patients in developing understanding around injury and rehabilitation, empowering them with knowledge about the human body, injury prevention and treatment options.

My parents, both fitness instructors themselves, were my initial inspiration and taught me the importance of keeping bodies strong and healthy. Growing up in Brazil, I became involved in everything from swimming to martial arts (capoeira/karate) and strength training through to mind-body-soul practices, like yoga and meditation.

I very much look forward to working together.

Qualifications:

Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost)
BA in Physical Education
Mat Pilates 1, 2 and 3
Certified Balance Body Pilates
BTEC Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage Level 4
Level 3 Diploma, Personal Trainer
